The blanket fits very well and is easy to put on, having the hood attached. Our 2-year old looked absolutely stunning in it. But as geldings do, he managed to get it off, with a small tear in the lining and one of the buckle straps came off. This blanket held out better than a different brand blanket on our 4-year old gelding. Needless to say, both were fixable and went back into operation!
